Welcome to Jork's community Website
Jork lies south-west of Hamburg, in the region along the River Elbe known as the Altes Land. The heart of the region is the town itself, which is surrounded by the orchards that make up the largest continuous fruit-growing area in Germany. The region is a so-called "cultural landscape", one of historical interest, that offers different attractions throughout the year. In the spring the trees are in bloom, in summer the cherries are ripe and in autumn the plums, pears and apples. Jork has a well-developed infrastructure, which contributes to the numerous leisure activities available in the area. Surrounded by greenery, life in the region can still be relaxed, while the towns of Buxtehude, Stade and Hamburg are all within easy reach.
This website is designed to give guests to the town and our residents – both new and old – the opportunity to keep informed about news and events. We make an effort to keep our website up to date. Should you have any further suggestions or queries, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (0)4162 9147-0. We look forward to hearing from you.
